What's included in the standard package

We include as much as possible in the price, while keeping things as flexible as possible in terms of the elements that you choose to select from our holidays.

1. Transfers

With low cost airlines flying to the region and easy access to the TGV rail system from around Europe, we believe that it is more economical and convenient for guests to arrange their own travel to the Languedoc. We provide the transfers from and to the local airports and the nearest TGV stations, and other locations by arrangement. If you decide to drive down, there is plenty of parking for your car on the grounds of our property.

2. Meals

All evening meals are included, with a mixture of meals prepared at the property and visits to specially selected local restaurants, favouring those with a strong regional cuisine. All meals include a starter, main course and dessert, plus cheese course. We also include up to half a bottle of wine per person with the meals, featuring the pick of the local vineyards. Breakfasts are included, featuring fresh products from our local bakers. Picnic lunches may also be provided for certain excursions. Depending on the tour, suitable cafes will be used for lunch.

Vegetarians can be catered for but please advise if you eat fish.

As with any holiday featuring physical exercise, expect to feel hungry and enjoy the pleasures of the excellent local cuisine and culinary products to their fullest.

3. Bike hire

21-speed hybrid bikes are the normal style of bicycle that we provide. For certain tours we will supply 24-speed road bikes, or tandems on special request.

Cycle helmets are not obligatory in France, but we advise our guests to wear them while on rides. Either bring your own helmet or advise us that you need one to be provided. Regular cyclists who decide not to bring their own bikes may choose to bring their own saddle and SPD pedals to be fitted to their supplied bike on arrival.

Do not forget to bring sunglasses and sun cream; knees and bottom halves of arms are particularly prone to overheating in the sun's rays.

4. Guides

There will always be two people to assist you throughout the day, one guide cycling with the group and one available with the backup vehicle if required. Communication will be via mobile phone.

Our guides are highly motivated and experienced and speak English, French and sometimes German. They will help to ensure that your holiday runs smoothly and you are able to extract the maximum pleasure from your stay with us.
